What to Expect
Standing in front of Am Taieb’s residence, visitors discover a unique house museum created entirely from recycled materials. The experience includes exploring eight rooms and open-air courtyards where industrial elements blend with nature. Thousands of artworks sculpted over more than 45 years can be seen throughout the museum, including creations made from marble, stone, metal, and other materials that reflect the story of our era.
After a guided 45-minute museum visit filled with stories and cultural anecdotes, the experience continues in an artistic leather workshop. Guests are welcomed with traditional local snacks before discovering the history of leather, tanning techniques, and the different types of leather used in craftsmanship.
Each participant receives a blank leather pouch, brushes, and special leather paint to create their own personalized design. Guided by a professional artisan, visitors decorate their creations using traditional copper stamps and artistic techniques.
Throughout the 90-minute workshop, local snacks and refreshments are served. At the end of the experience, participants leave with their handmade leather creation, a certificate of participation, and unforgettable memories of Tunisian art and culture.

Day 1

Pick-up from the meeting point / hotel and direction toward the Medina.
09:15 | Walk Through the Medina
Discover the authentic atmosphere of the Medina, its streets, local shops, and traditional architecture.
09:45 | End of the Medina
Arrival at the end of the Medina followed by a short 10-minute walk outside toward the museum area.
10:00 | Guided Museum Tour
Welcome snacks and refreshments at Am Taieb’s house museum. Guided visit of the museum with explanations about the history, artworks, and the artist who built everything over decades.
10:45 | Leather Workshop Experience
Hands-on workshop with a local artisan and family members. Participants paint and personalize their own leather creations using traditional techniques and copper stamps.
12:30 | Snacks & Relaxation
Enjoy traditional snacks and refreshments.
13:45 | End of Experience / Return
Return to your hotel or continue exploring independently.
