09:00 – Departure toward Cherchell for a guided visit of the Archaeological Museum, renowned for its impressive collection of Roman and Punic artifacts, mosaics, statues, and maritime finds that reflect the ancient history of Caesarea (the Roman name of Cherchell).

• Continue along the coast to the Roman ruins of Tipaza, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore its remarkably preserved amphitheater, basilicas, baths, forum, and seaside necropolis, all set against the backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea.
• On the return to Algiers, stop at the Royal Mausoleum of Mauretania—also known as the Tomb of the Christian Woman—an ancient stone monument dating back to the 3rd century BC, offering insight into the Numidian and Mauretanian kingdoms.

After dinner, transfer to the airport for a late-night flight to Djanet.

• Arrival at the Tilelline site, an important area known for its remarkable prehistoric rock art. Guided visit of the paintings of Tedjleh Ekrar, depicting ancient Saharan life, wildlife, and early pastoral scenes dating back thousands of years.
• Continue the journey toward the impressive rock needles of Tikoubaouène, one of the most iconic geological formations in the region. These towering sandstone pillars create a dramatic and surreal desert landscape shaped by centuries of erosion.

• Exploration of the deep gorges leading to the Touia Guelta, a hidden water basin surrounded by cliffs where vegetation and wildlife can often be observed.
• Enjoy sunset over the surrounding desert landscapes.

09:00 – After breakfast, depart toward the famous Essendilène Canyon, one of the most beautiful natural sites in the Djanet region.
• Walk through the canyon surrounded by impressive rocky cliffs and natural sandstone sculptures. The path leads to a small oasis with palm trees, tamarisks, oleanders, and a peaceful guelta, creating a striking contrast with the surrounding desert.

Travel Guidelines
To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable journey through Algeria and the Sahara Desert, please keep the following guidelines in mind:
Travel Documents
Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates and keep copies of your passport and visa with you during the trip.
Clothing & Equipment
Bring light, comfortable clothing for the daytime, along with warmer layers for the evenings in the desert, where temperatures can drop. A hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended.
Desert Travel
During the desert portion of the trip, travel will be by 4x4 vehicles across sand dunes and rocky landscapes. Some short walks on sand and uneven terrain are expected.
Accommodation in the Desert
Overnights in the Sahara are in comfortable desert tents. Facilities are simple but designed to provide an authentic desert experience.
Health & Hydration
Stay well hydrated throughout the journey. Bottled water will be available, especially during desert excursions.
Photography
Photography is welcome in most places; however, please avoid photographing military or government buildings and always ask permission before taking photos of local people.
