Our Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
09:00 | MEET-UP
We meet on Fellaki Street, one of the arteries that feeds into the market area. A quick hello, introductions, and we set off on foot into the streets.
09:15 | MARKET WANDER
An hour and a half wandering the open-air flea market that only appears on Saturdays. Vendors spread across the streets selling old watches, vintage chandeliers, foreign coins and currencies, paintings, ceramic dolls, and decades of accumulated objects. We explore freely, photographing, browsing, and taking in the atmosphere. A perfect spot for content creators and curious travellers alike.
10:00 | TEA BREAK
We pull up chairs at one of the old downtown cafés for a cup of tea — a chance to rest, share thoughts on what we found in the market, and settle into the Cairo rhythm before heading to breakfast.
11:15 | EGYPTIAN BREAKFAST
A proper Egyptian street breakfast: falafel (ta'meya), fool medames, crispy fried sides, and all the delicious staples of the Egyptian morning table. This is the real thing, unpretentious, generous, and deeply local.
13:00 | DOWNTOWN WALK & ICE CREAM
We finish with a slow walk through downtown's wide boulevards, past its grand early-20th-century architecture, ending with ice cream before we say goodbye. A gentle close to a full morning.

Dress modestly out of respect for the local neighborhood, avoid shorts and sleeveless tops
Bring a small bag for anything you pick up at the market

The best approach is to browse with curiosity rather than expectation: if something speaks to you and the price feels right, it is yours. Vendors are generally open to negotiation. Do not feel pressured to buy, wandering and photographing is entirely part of the experience.
