Basic
Discover three of Aswan’s most iconic landmarks in just a few hours. This half-day tour takes you from the impressive High Dam to the serene island temple of Philae, and finally to the massive Unfinished Obelisk still resting in its ancient granite quarry. A local guide, private transport, and entrance tickets are all included for a smooth and enriching morning adventure.
What to Expect
Your day begins at 7:00 or 8:00 AM with pickup in a private air-conditioned vehicle. First, you’ll head about 25 km south to the Aswan High Dam, one of Egypt’s modern engineering feats. After learning how it controls the Nile and powers the country, you’ll take a scenic motorboat ride to Philae Island. There, you’ll explore one of Egypt’s most beautiful temples — a sanctuary to the goddess Isis, rescued from rising waters and relocated by UNESCO. You’ll end your tour at the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest known ancient obelisk, giving insight into ancient construction techniques and the sheer scale of Egypt’s ambitions.
