Our Detailed Itinerary

Day 1

08:30 | Valley of the Kings

Itinerary Icon

Valley of the Kings: This is almost always the first stop. Your guide will explain the valley's history and help you choose the 3 best tombs to visit (based on what's open, crowd levels, and artistic significance). They'll provide context before you enter each tomb.

What to Expect: Walking into steep, beautifully decorated tombs cut deep into the rock. It's cool inside. Photography is NOT allowed inside the tombs (they are very strict). You can buy a special photo ticket at the entrance, but it's expensive and doesn't cover all tombs.

10:30 | Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut

Itinerary Icon

Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut (Deir el-Bahari): A stunning, modern-looking temple nestled in a dramatic cliff face. Your guide will explain the fascinating story of the female pharaoh who ruled as a king. Expect some walking and stairs. It can get very hot here as the sun rises.

The Colossi of Memnon: Often a quick photo stop. These two massive statues are all that remain of a huge temple complex.

12:00 | Optional

Itinerary Icon

Medinet Habu: The massive mortuary temple of Ramesses III. Less frequented but incredibly impressive, with towering reliefs and a more relaxed atmosphere.

Deir el-Medina: The ancient village of the tomb workers. Offers a unique glimpse into the lives of the artisans who built the royal tombs.
