Our Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
What will we do?
Duration: 1 Day – no camping
• Private car pick up at your place at 8 AM.
• Arrival to Fayoum before 10:00- 10:15 AM. Cairo-Fayoum road is ~ 2 h 15 min.
• 10:15 AM – Meet the safari team and begin your 4x4 desert adventure
• Wadi El-Rayan – Visit the the only waterfalls in Egypt
• Wadi Al-Hitan – Discover the Valley of the Whales: ancient 40 million year-old whale skeletons and fossils at this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Fossil & Climate Change Museum to learn about Earth's evolution history with real finds around the area.
• Qusoor Al-Arab - Visit hidden view spots on the most beautiful gems of the desert of Fayoum Oasis
• Bedouin Lunch – Savor an authentic mandi meal
• Enter an ancient cave which was once filled with water
• Enjoy dune bashing and sandboarding for an adrenaline rush
• Magic Lake Sunset – Sip Bedouin tea as you watch the sunset over the legendary lake
• 8:30–9:30 PM – Return to Tunis Village and head back to Cairo
• 11:00–11:30 PM – Arrival in Cairo by private car

What to wear and take
* Cash for Entry Fees to Wadi El-Rayan (250 egp or $5) and Wadi El-Hitan (500 egp or $10)
* Hat or scarf
* Light, breathable clothes (linen/cotton) that cover your arms and legs—especially if you tend to get sunburned easily
* Sandals or closed shoes (if you don’t mind some sand inside; for sandboarding, we’ll take them off anyway)
* Sunscreen and sunglasses
* Wipes and tissues
Optional:
* A tumbler with cold water (we’ll also have several kiosks to buy it from)
* A fully charged power bank if your phone battery doesn’t last long
