Living the Lebanese Tapestry

My Lebanon Journey

You will find many places to visit in Lebanon because, in one word, Lebanon is simply fascinating! So much diversity on such a small land is beyond all expectations. It was one of the trips I will never forget. Our local guide in Lebanon was super helpful and helped us spot all the attractions and lesser-known places to visit. We also experienced a mouthwatering culinary landscape. That’s why I recommend to use Simsem, a travel app.

Despite the economic difficulties the country is facing, people have not lost they sense of humour and will to enjoy life. They say that no other nation knows to how to party better than the Lebanese and this is true. But beyond that, the landscape is magical, where else can you swim in the Mediterranean and ski on the same day.

And if you’re a foodie, you’ll be satisfied, even the ‘simplest’ street food will make your taste buds indulge. And all the history you can see in Beirut, Lebanon! The churches, monasteries, mosques and Roman ruins are literally everywhere.

Here are places to visit in Lebanon based on my experience

Baalbek: One must-visit destination is the ancient city of Baalbek. Known for its stunning Roman ruins, including the colossal Temple of Jupiter, it offers a mesmerizing glimpse into Lebanon’s rich past.

As you wander through this UNESCO World Heritage Site, you can’t help but marvel at the intricate detailing in the stone carvings and imagine what life was like during this prosperous era.

Jeita Grotto: For nature enthusiasts seeking an escape from bustling cities, a trip to Jeita Grotto is a must. Tucked beneath Mount Lebanon, Jeita Grotto is an underground wonderland that boasts one of the world’s most beautiful natural cave systems.

Explore its fascinating chambers adorned with impressive stalactites and stalagmites while taking refreshing boat rides along underground rivers – an experience that will leave you in awe of nature’s unparalleled beauty.

Byblos: When hunger strikes after all that exploring, head to Byblos—one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world—for a unique culinary journey. With its charming old town filled with traditional Lebanese restaurants serving mouthwatering mezze platters and delicious kababs made from local ingredients, Byblos offers much more than just historical landmarks.

Indulge your taste buds in authentic flavors while savoring breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea—a delightful combination for any food lover eager to immerse themselves in Lebanon’s gastronomic delight.

Lebanon is just so worth visiting you shouldn’t miss out!
